about optic

Hello, I am working with "optics" algorithm, but I do not understand what it does, also I have doubts with weka.clusterers.FilteredClusterer  and weka.clusterers.MakeDensityBasedClusterer, what is the benefit of combining with other algorithms?.Thanks, help.
