Ummm, I did present it as a "hack" to confirm a suspected problem, not as
a "commit ready" patch. If you have to replace 'dentry->d_type != DT_REG'
with stat/lstat stuff (and it looks like you might), then you could (and
should) do the function a whole lot cleaner than just adding that little
hack .
