Hi,
I am Rajeev Kumar, and am interested in deploying the Mantis at my office in order to successfully managing the bug tracking in my office. In order to do so, the following steps have been performed at my end:
1. Downloaded Mantis 1.0.
2. PHP 5.1.2. alongwith the installer
3. mySQL 5.0.18
4. Apache Server 2.0
5. Tomcat 5.0
We have followed all the steps mentioned in the install.txt file available in the doc folder of Mantis.
All the files were copied to the webserver in the mantis folder after unzipping all the files.
Then, PHP and mySQL were installed and DB and tables were created as mentioned in the install.txt file.
Please note that we are facing the following problems:
1. After running the Apache server, we are getting the install.php page in that page we give the db username,password and admin username,password after clicking the install/upgrade button it is showing every statement is good(like.. Setting Database Hostname Good) but
Checking PHP support for database type is Bad.
2. We are getting the following error messages:
a. For Apache : Problem we facing while installing Mantis.doc attached alongwith the message.
b. For Tomcat : with this web server also we getting problems. we are not able to open the install.php using this server.
When ever we open the install.php the server automatically shutingdown. but we are able to run test.php which contain the
following code.
"<?php phpinfo(); ?>".
Kindly arrange to get the errors reviewed at your end and provide the solution at the earliest. Kindly mention the steps that need to be followed in order to install and execute the application at our end.
