First European Nuxeo Conference this winter

Hi,

We'd like to organize a user and developer conference this winter  
(probably in December, or else in January) in Paris.

The main goals for this conference / workshop will be to present and  
discuss the new features of Nuxeo 5.2 (which will have been released  
at this time), the roadmap for 2009 and 2010 (including some R&D  
projects in which the Nuxeo platform is involved), and to present  
actual projects in which the Nuxeo platform has been used.

More importantly, it will be the first important gathering of members  
of the Nuxeo community, and the occasion to meet and discuss face to  
face how we can keep improving it and make it the best answer to the  
challenges of Enterprise 2.0 document management and collaboration.

I will keep you informed in the next weeks as the plans for this  
conference evolve, but in the meantime I would appreciate if you could  
send me an email if you are interested in coming to the conference  
(this will help find a suitable room for the event).

You can also already tell me if there are specific topics you'd like  
to discuss or to present.

Fw: Opening document to bookmark or section


Hello.. any insights into how we can make this work? The requirement is the following : When the user clicks on a document link in the CMS, the document should open to a particular bookmark (Chapter, Section etc.).

Is it possible in any CMS?

Hello All,

Is it possible to open a document to a bookmark in Nuxeo (or any other CMS). This would be useful in two situations :
  • A user who is uploading a document as part of a workflow might be interested in specifying the section to open the document to
  • When clicking on search results it might be helpful to open the document to the specific location containing the search term

I understand that the implementation might depend upon

The document type
The platform on which the user is running
The program set to handle the document mime type

Has any of these been implemented in Nuxeo or plugins?

Move obsoleted document to archived storage

Hi

When document turn into obsoleted document from lifecycle. I want those obsoleted document move to
archived storage or may be another repository to make databases smaller and more manageable but still
accessible from nuxeo. If somebody has any suggestions, I would appreciate.

How to clean up Temporary file from upload and blobextractor

Hi

I have problem when i try to bulk upload files (200GB) to server. Temporary files created during the process
and it's consume 400GB to upload files to nuxeo (content file + temporary file) because temporary files is
not automatic delete after completion. So there are any way to automatic delete temporary files from temp
folder. I founded that temporary files created in C:\Document and settings\username\locals
settings\temp and Nuxeoserver\server\default\data\nxruntime\tmp\uploads

File Upload in restlets

Hy all,

I'm starting to switch to Nuxeo 5.2, and I think there is a regression with file uploads in restlets.

The fu.parseRequest(req); always return an empty list. This occures in my restlets but also in the PluginUploadRestlet.

Is this a bug or have I done something wrong in the 5.2 deployment ? For info, I've built the server from source, branch 5.2.

custom sub-typing

Hi all,

I've defined custom types (let's say MyDoc and MyFolder), and can create some in the repository.
But I'd like to have these custom types only : is it possible to (a) overwrite the File and Folder type (or define a Facet and add it to File and Folder types ?) (b) to prevent Folder or File creation at the root of workspaces (ie, avoid Workspace>Folder, to have only Workspace>MyFolder>MyDoc, or Workspace>MyDoc ?
If it is, can webdav and/or drag&drop plugins import custom types, depending on the destination folder (for instance, if a file is uploaded in a MyFolder, then it is a MyDoc. If a folder is uploaded in a MyFolder, it is a MyFolder) This could be useful to upload subsections via webdav (since sections can only contain sections and not folders).

Nuxeo Web Engine Module

Hi,

I've installed Nuxeo EP 5.2.m1 and it works correctly.
Now I want to use the Nuxeo Web Engine module. I've added the three jars in nuxeo.ear/plugins, I've checked in nuxeo.ear/lib and there are
freemarker-2.3.11.jar, json-lib-2.2.1-jdk15.jar, ezmorph-0.9.jar as needed but there is not nuxeo-runtime-scripting is nuxeo.ear/system(there are only these
files in nuxeo.ear/system : nuxeo-runtime-1.5.0.m1.jar, nuxeo-runtime-jboss-adapter-1.5.0.m1.sar, nuxeo-runtime-osgi-1.5.0.m1.jar, README.txt).


So when I launch Nuxeo and it works but there are the following errors :

Component Loading Errors:
  * Unresolved Sub Deployment: org.nuxeo.ecm.webengine.core: [org.nuxeo.ecm.platform.rendering, org.nuxeo.runtime.scripting]
  * Unresolved Sub Deployment: org.nuxeo.runtime.scripting: null
  * Unresolved Sub Deployment: org.nuxeo.ecm.webengine.wiki: [org.nuxeo.ecm.webengine.core]
  * Unresolved Sub Deployment: org.nuxeo.ecm.platform.rendering: [org.nuxeo.runtime.scripting]


Where can I download nuxeo-runtime-scripting.jar? I only find the sources but not the .jar.

Disabling/Hiding Themes

Hi,

I know how to create new themes and make a new default theme, but how 
can I disable / hide themes so that users cannot select them from the 
theme tab and/or remove them from the theme editor?

Can't find any helpful extension points on ThemeService, etc. Maybe I 
have to create a component to go and remove any unwanted ones? Any help 
much appreciated.
