The current problems with the iFolder Project:

a.) Novell isn't listening to the community. We want P2P support - it
doesn't come (it's been abandoned!)
b.) Novell doesn't communicate what is going on with the project with
timelines and such (look at the mess of the 3.5 rewrite to C/C++ which
never
happened)
c.) Novell doesn't seem fussed about community interaction
d.) Daily Builds have stopped
e.) The team has lost a lot of people who haven't been replaced so the team
is down - Calvin and Boyd have now left as well as several others
f.) Active development is not blogged so users don't know what is going on
g.) Packaging for iFolder is bad - no Debian or Ubuntu packages and the
Fedora/CentOS ones aren't brilliant

My talk on iFolder at LugRadio Live said that every single person wanted
P2P
and wanted Ubuntu packages. Novell - give people what they want or iFolder
will branch out into a separate project and people will do what they want -
it's FOSS :-)

The guys on the team are trying really heard but it needs more push from
Novell to get it going
