I'm perectly willing to allow it to be the definitive location, but anything 
that is build there can be rebuilt easily elsewhere, everything is documented 
in the "build" directory (which is normally automatically created by my 
install-app.sh script)

If it starts eating all my bandwidth, I'll just move the entire thing to a 
slower, but unmetered connection, nothing should notice the change in IP 
address, GPG key would remain the same.

I don't think that'd happen for a while, atleast.  100mbit connection, 
500gb/month.
