JOSM slippymap plugin - Error requesting tile update

Hi All,

Been using JOSM for mapping. I have the slippy map plugin installed
and I can view the tiles.

The issues, is that when I select the request tile update option, I
get  "error requesting update.". What can be the reason for this error
and how can it be rectified?
