You can do this by manually editing your ~/.gtkrc-2.0, or there is a nice frontend called gnome-color-chooser (http://www.punk-ass-bitch.org/gnome-color-chooser/)

You can do this by manually editing your ~/.gtkrc-2.0, or there is a
nice frontend called gnome-color-chooser
