IMHO, it would make more sense to 'fix' your touchscreen that hack the
desktop - surely the same or similar problems will happen with other
software on device.

I have never physically seen Qtopia Phone Edition. Did yoy check
matchbox themeing docs ? If you look at matchbox on the Nokia 770 it
gives you a good idea of how flexible matchbox ( window manager ) can
be.
