Debian bugs and expected releases

Hi all, I'm new to both Python and Boa-constructor, so far it has been quite
excellent, both the IDE and the doco, sample code etc.

I am currently running Boa-constructor 0.2.3-4 on Debian (testing/unstable)
and find the frame designer quite nasty for selecting and positioning
widgets, resorting to the inspector to make most adjustments.

Height positioning of widgets is near impossible; when dragging a widget it
suddenly selects a different one and drags it instead; also I can't click on
a widget in the designer to select it for editing properties, it randomly
decides not to select things I click on.

Also in the source code editor, my scroll-wheel randomly stops working - it
moves the scrollbar up and down but the source code does not scroll at all.
Moving the mouse pointer over the scroll bar instead of the source code gets
it scrolling correctly again.

Anyways, I don't want to harp on about an old version if this has already been
dealt with, my main interest is finding out:
- are Debian packages released often & when should I expect a new one
- what changes are made in the Debian package & can I get it straight from CVS
with no problems, instead of waiting for a debian release
- are these mouse issues specific to GTK, Debian, or just my system ?
