loading a website ... How to do???

I wanna load a website when clicking on a link. Is there a general way
to do this ... something like:

URL url = new URL("http://www.heise.de");
String target = "_blank"; 
this.getAppletContext().showDocument(url, target);

independent if i use the appletLauncher or the frameLauncher? ...
