[Bug 263289] New: Muon always complains (falsely) about not getting dpkg lock when forcing package version
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263289 Summary: Muon always complains (falsely) about not getting dpkg lock when forcing package version Product: muon Version: 1.0.2 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: muon AssignedTo: echidnaman@... ReportedBy: bugsbane@... Created an attachment (id=56072) --> (http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=56072) Image of the error popup and package versions Version: 1.0.2 (using KDE 4.5.3) OS: Linux Muon always gives the following error when forcing a version of libavfilter-extra-0: "Another application seems to be using the package system at this time. You must close all other package managers before you will be able to install or remove any packages." Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Search for libavfilter-extra-0 2. Under versions choose the oldest - I have two, in my case this is 4:0.5.1-1ubuntu1 (lucid) 3. Click "Force" 4. Click "Apply" and enter password Actual Results: The error listed above appears in a popup. Expected Results: The version selected installs. OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-27-preempt Compiler: cc There is nothing in /var/lock/ I am still able to install other packages just fine. This error only seems to appear when forcing versions. I haven't tried forcing other packages. I'm using KXstudio 10.04.3 which is based off Ubuntu and uses a lot of Kubuntu packages, but has a bunch of KDE stuff repackaged independently of Kubuntu. The version of Muon is 1.0.2-0ubuntu1~lucid1~ppa1 -- -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
