I am pleased to announce that Pike Conference 2006 will be held in
Riga, Latvia the third week of October. The tentative dates are
October 18th through 21st and will be finalized as soon as possible
as we confirm the venue and request ANY OBJECTIONS to the dates by
potential presenters.

Submissions

We encourage all active Pike users to submit presentation and
activity proposals of all sizes from formal papers to workshops to a
few words about your project at a pub. We will have a range of
facilities from lecture halls to class rooms to a computer lab. If
you have a presentation or activity proposal in mind, please contact
us as early as possible with an abstract and your facility
requirements so we can begin daily planning. The first submission
deadline is September 1st and the formal deadline October 1st. We
will do our best to accommodate last-minute and improvised activities.

Cost

The tentative location of Pike Conference 2006 is the University of
Latvia with additional formal and informal venues as needed. The
facility requirements of the received proposals will partly determine
our costs. Our goal is to keep the cost of admission under 50 Euro
and we will gladly help with economical transportation and
accommodations. Your early registration will be appreciated to help
us budget the event.

Watch for a second e-mail announcement with exact event dates and we
will soon have event updates and travel planning information at:
