Done! Please look at the http://www.squeak.org/SqueakLicense/ and
confirm that I put it in correct place.

website issues on mantis

http://bugs.squeak.org

There are several bugs there regarding the website. They are in
two places:

Project Squeak, category www.squeak.org
- All these issues are from 2006 and are closed

Project Squeak website
- None of these issues are closed, and about half are newer than
  2006

Should I report bugs against the website there, or here?

Website bug with trailing slashes

The documentation website used to be available at this url, but
is no longer:

http://squeak.org/Documentation

The trailing slash is now required:

Re: Cron <website <at> box2> $HOME/scripts/backupImages.sh

I guess with the move to Aida/Scribo we should rethink the backups process.

Janko -- how should we do this?

Squeak website from today on Aida/Scribo

Dear webteamers,

Today me and Ken Causey switched Squeak website to the Scribo based one:

	http://www.squeak.org

Old site is still accessible at http://old.squeak.org/ .

So far so good and I hope everything will work well. There is still a
menu to be finished (it is expanded, I need to make it collapsible).

Please look at the site and if you find anything to be corrected,
report. Let we polish the new site as soon as possible.

Best regards
Janko

Suggestion for Squeak Website

I am just trying to find out if anyone has written a Squeak interface
to the Mindstorms NXT brick. This might involve re-flashing the
firmware and would certainly involve adding some primitives to the
environment to control the brick from the desktop/laptop.

Thanks! Mark

Suggestion for Squeak Website

Hello,

I just happeded to notice that Squeak 3.10 is out, and I went to download
the new image and VM, but the links to the files for the VM only link to the
3.9 version. So to get the new VM, I had to manually browse the directories
on the ftp server, and find the appropiate file in the 3.10 directory. Is
this intentional, or should the links be to the 3.10 files?

Kind Regards,
Aidan Gauland

New website almost ready, please check it

Dear all,

Together with Ken Causey we managed to install new Aida/Scribo based
website and I already migrated all except one or two pages and now you
are welcome to comment it:

	http://new.squeak.org

What is still not ok so far:
- menu on the left is not working correctly yet (indentation, names)
- favicon needs to be changed
- linux link in download box should point to a real file

I'm going to ESUG next week so I won't be available much, but if you
comment it during that time, it will be just nice so that we can finish
migration the first week in September.

Best regards
Janko

Time for decision about platform for website

Hi guys,

We set end of July for decision about technology for Squeak website. Ok,
we are not so late yet :)

We started the choosing the technology back in April, having then two
competing proposals, one Seaisde/Pier and other Aida/Scribo based.

Main goal was set to make a replica of current website and provide a
better spamless Contact Us page. That way proposals shown its technical
features and specially a community behind and its willingness for
long-term maintenance of the website.

Seaside/Pier proposal was later withdrawn by author so now only Aida/Web
proposal is still in game.

I'm opening now a discussion which should end in final decision and then
upgrade of the site. Please be constructive, realistic and polite. I'm
also stepping down temporary as team leader and discuss as proposer, to
avoid "conflict of interest" as much as possible.

Best regards

Contact US message types

Hello all,

I'm just working on Contact Us form:

	http://squeaksite.aidaweb.si/ContactUs/

On form a type of message can be selected and so far I see next possible
types:

^#( 'newbie question'
     'technical question'
     'suggestion, comment'
     'for Squeak community'
     'for website maintainers'
     'for Squeak Leadership')

6 so far, so we cannot add much more. Have you idea what types should
be? Which one to add, rename, remove, merge..?

Which one should be default? 'suggestion, comment'?

How to get a Swiki account

Hello.

I clicked the edit button at the top of

  http://wiki.squeak.org/squeak

to make some minor fixes to the page, but I was asked for a username and
password. How do I get an account to be able to make changes to the
Squeak Swiki?

Thanks,

Lewis
