Take a look at SquirrelFish thinking about Tcl9 bytecode engine

Hi!

As we (in DAC System) do program server-side in Tcl and client-side in
JavaScript (AJAX) - we found that these languages are both very
dynamic and support similar programming styles.

As Tcl community is slowly talking about Tcl9 I would like to mention
interesting link about new Javascript engine for Safari (Webkit)
codenamed SquirrelFish.

On this page there are references to Lua 5.0 bytecode engine so I
though it may be interesting also for our Tcl bytecode experts -
thinking about Tcl9 bytecode engine.

Of course there are other open-source projects like Adobe Ecmascript
virtual machine and just in time compiler Tamarin, planned to be used
in Firefox 4, Perl Parrot and Low Level Virtual Machine (LLVM), but
those are widely known.

A little bit off-topic, but interesting in context of future bytcode
