Summary:  text fields which are selectable but not editable misbehave when clicked

Original Submission:  If you click on a text field which is selectable but not editable, the text drawn in the
text field changes and moves in a confused way.

Try examples/gui/Calculator and click on the textfield in the calculator window.

This used to work; it's a regression.
