Sure, why not? Every bottom-end hardware vendor sells a Windows box as 'NAS' storage, would be faster as
netware or linux.

With OES Linux, you can mount USB drives and format them as NSS.
For iSCSI, you could load a server box up with cheap drives and use the linux iSCSI target.
This assumes you are looking at capacity rather than performance.

We are looking to add some cheap storage to about 10 of our Netware and OES/Linux servers. This is something
to get us over a budget hump for a year or two. We have talked about some type of SATA enclosure where we can add
4 drives and configure it RAID 10. iSCSI interface is best, we've seen some things that will do Firewire,
USB 3, etc. We could add an interface to the server, but drivers would be a concern. We've looked at Drobo
devices, but they don't appear to do Netware or NSS. Any advice here?
