Enigmail is the extension for using OpenPGP [GnuPG] encryption for Email. The .exe File You were directed to was probably for GnuPG since that is the Encryption Program that Enigmail is the frontend for. Unless You desire the ability to Sign and/or Encrypt Emails to & from folks then You really do not 'need' Enigmail. You didn't mention which O/S You are using so I cannot accurately point you to a good download Link. OK, from examination of Your Header I see that You are using Thunderbird 3.0.1 on Windows.
