I would say 'hidden' (or expired). It is much easier to hide messages 
(change their accessibility) on a news server than 'remove' them. Gmane 
has a useful discussion about how it goes about expiring messages (with 
expiry headers) by hiding them rather than removing them.

That message must have been obtained by your seeing the message header 
and then clicking on it to display it. That message's header does not 
show up in my Tbird or OE in either .general or firefox support, which 
is how it was crossposted (without f/up to .general).

OE has much better ability to access a message by mid than does Tbird. 
And GG's ability to access a message by mid is extremely deprecated 
compared to how it was in 'the old days'. For example, I can't get that 
message from GG by using the MID; however/altho' GG has it.

I'm not going to post the GG link to the message because I don't think 
that the moderation should be 'defeated'. I accept the moderation as is. 
Jay didn't say anything in the message to be discussed anyway.

Maybe it was 'deleted' (hidden/expired) because it was crossposted to a 
firefox support group in addition to .general.

That functions to clean up your view to keep you from clicking on the 
message header which message is not available to be viewed.

I would say that the moderator doesn't feel that discussing moderation 
is appropriate - especially in a support group; a concept with which I 
agree even tho' some others here don't.
