display of cumulative Time Spent

Hi,

I am new to Task Coach and have been looking for a replacement for KArm / KTimeTracker that I used to use on Linux under KDE now that I have moved to OSX.

I think that Task Coach might well be what I am looking for, but I am puzzled by one thing:  I am able to create a hierarchy of tasks fine, and I am able to track time for individual tasks and I can display this on the task list with the Time Spent column.  What I am confused about is whether or not there is a way to show the cumulative time within the tree of tasks so that the top of the tree automatically contains the sum of all the times spent on all the child tasks?

The only way that I can find a total from my initial clicking around is:
  • double click on the task that I am looking for the total
  • select Effort tab
  • change Effort Details to Effort Per Month and now I get the Total with the cumulative Time Spent.
This is quite a few hoops to jump through and I would prefer it if I can just look at all the tasks and see where they are currently standing.  Is there something that I have missed?

many thanks

Alex
