As with all open source projects, your suggestion above--although phrased nicely--is an eff off suggestion. Submitting patches that people don't agree with is a waste of time. That's why I poll in advance, rather than waste effort on something which won't get any attention paid to it.

It's obvious this is DOA, I'm just replying to the thread in hopes people realize the fallacy of illogical arguments. (not all are, but many have been so far)
