RE: [ITM622] workspace question

I opened a PMR on this and received this response:

"Currently, there is no supported way to copy and paste a workspace from one agent (managedsystem) to
another.
Even within the UNIX OS Agents, like the example you gave. There are multiple ITM Product enhancement
requests opened for this functionality to be added
to IBM Tivoli Monitoring v6.

For your reference here are the enhancement requests we have open:
MR071108555 TEPS workspace portability
MR0108093120 Copy & Paste Workspace within navigator tree"

I'm really surprised that we can't reuse workspaces across the same agent types. Pretty big deficiency,
espeically considering that the out of the box workspaces are propogated across all of the agents. I'm
going to look into using tacmd exportworkspace to see if I can script this somehow. I'd appreciate any
insight the list has to offer.

Rafael,

I tried that, but it just makes the custom workspace the default workspace that comes up when I click on the
UNIX OS navigator item for that particular agent. What I want to do is make the workspace available under
the UNIX OS navigator item to other agents of the same type. My goal is to reuse the workspace I've authored
across many different agents. I am in workspace administration mode.

Thanks,
Brandon

I've created a custom workspace at the UNIX OS level for an agent in the
navigator tree. How can I made that workspace available to all agents?
Right now, the workspace is only visible on the agent I created it
against.

Thanks,
Brandon
