EPSTOPDF

Dear users,

I've got a large document with a lot of EPS / PS files included.  I 
found out that you can load the EPSTOPDF package for conversion. It 
requires thought a shell-escape...
Is it the -enable-write18 command within PDFLaTeX or is it another?
