I think you're stuck with one of two things: 1) Use the 'Open Terminal Window Here' context menu selection to run the p4 commandline, or 2) Create a custom tool that runs p4. As far as I know there's no way to customize commands in P4V, you get what you get, with only the possible checkboxes/switches. -- Matt Janulewicz Lucasfilm Entertainment Company Ltd. ________________________________________ From: perforce-user-bounces <at> perforce.com [perforce-user-bounces <at> perforce.com] on behalf of Decker87 [perforce-user-forum <at> forums.perforce.com] Sent: Monday, June 18, 2012 8:35 AM To: perforce-user <at> perforce.com Subject: [p4] Is there a way to quickly send a typed command from P4V? Posted on behalf of forum user 'Decker87'. Hello. I often run into a situation where P4V gives an error and suggests using a command-line flag. For example, if I try to delete a workspace which has files open, it suggests using the "-f" flag. However, I do not see anywhere where I can type this in. No command window or anything. Does this exist somewhere? Note that I am not asking to use the command-line client. -- Please click here to see the post in its original format: http://forums.perforce.com/index.php?/topic/1674-is-there-a-way-to-quickly-send-a-typed-command-from-p4v _______________________________________________ perforce-user mailing list - perforce-user <at> perforce.com http://maillist.perforce.com/mailman/listinfo/perforce-user _______________________________________________ perforce-user mailing list - perforce-user <at> perforce.com http://maillist.perforce.com/mailman/listinfo/perforce-user
