Having been on vacation I'm not sure what the current status is- could smdb.
Post a fully working imdb.php, including correct server names? I'll add to
CVS...

As former.imdb.com is an alias I would suggest to use directly aliased one:

$GLOBALS['imdbServer']   = 'http://us.dd.imdb.com';
