can't run the compiled VLC

Hi,

I managed, at last, to build VLC on windows, using Cygwin. However, when I 
try to run it now it loads into memory but nothing shows on the screen.

I'm trying to run VLC.EXE, after moving it into the src directory so it 
would reside near libvlc.dll.

I would have used a debugger, but dont know how to do that since I didn't 
compile with Microsoft Visual Studio.

Any ideas, on any of it?
