question regarding about Bluefish's plugin

Dear Bluefish Developers,

    I'm trying to develop a plug-in for Bluefish and I'm running to some 
difficulties; therefore, I would like to ask some questions please...
        - If my plug-in requires some initialization, where is the best 
place to hook from Bluefish to initialize my plug-in?
        - In OOP we use polymorphisms in order to do dynamic binding 
which I believe is necessary for developing a plug-in. I doubt if there 
is anyway to do dynamic binding in C? I heard something about making .a 
file which is like library file that can link dynamically, does anyone 
have any idea about this issue?

    In brief, my plug-in is to make the Bluefish support Custom tag 
technologies in Java. This will leads to making Bluefish to support 
Java's MVC Framework such as Struts and JSF.
