Hmm... language negotiation seems to fail.

Though you are not running a cache, this sounds like a cookie problem.

Are you running CacheFu (even if inactive)? It might do template caching
which is ignorant to the language. Zope can do template in-memory caching
with this product.

Also there were two language selectors... one for Plone and one for
LinguaPlone. If your custom theme is based Plone selector it does not
necessarily work with LinguaPlone.
