Points to /usr/share/aclocal while the file was in /usr/local/share/aclocal.  Don't know how that came
about...  Moving it indeed worked fine -- thanks.

By taking the capplet subdir out of Makefile solved that other problem cleanly.

Now I only have to find some time to rebuild all my options manually
