Computer locks up with current version of powerpro.exe

I've used powerpro.exe for years but since I recently updated to the newest version (4.9), have had both XP
and Vista computers lock up due to some issue. I noticed it doesn't reference being compatible with Vista,
but I didn't have any issues until I updated it. I'm a proficient user but a programmer I am not. I don't want
to quit using this incredible program but my computer geek advised I do. After uninstalling powerpro the
problem goes away. Has anyone had a similar experience and found an way to correct the problem of my
computer completely locking up to where I have to use tabs to get anywhere, and then the functions is
limited. Any help is greatly appreciated.
