Automotive Test Tracks on "Wired"

Good morning,
Saw this on "Wired" this morning,  a list of automotive test tracks around the country.  Includes the Nissan
track where the hpv hour record was set.  I was wondering if anyone might have an "in" to these other tracks
and if another hpv event might be held - within manageable driving distance of more competitors and spectators.

btw I didn't see the Burlington, WI (former American Motors) test track where we once had a WISIL event. 
Anyone know the status of that site?  I heard it was for sale some time ago.
