Hello everybody,
We would like to inform you that we are organizing an HPV touring event in Allegre, Haute-Loire, France from Saturday 12h to Sunday 20th of July, 2008. This year will be the 7th edition and there will still be new things to see and new scenic roads to ride.
The event is free. People arrive and leave when they want, choose the camp site or stay at the hostel or B&B, take part to the small or long tour, ride alone, go walking or watch TV if they don't feel like doing anything.
TOURS
- Small tours length around 50 km (30 miles)
- Long tours are around 80-120 km (50-75 miles)
- we generally go for a gastronomic tour in the week.
BUILDER'S CORNER
As there are quite a few people interested in building they own HPV, we have a builder's corner settled in a garage at the Chateauneuf's gite (1.5 km from Allegre). Sometimes, after a good night of work, we see new machines riding in the tours !

Eating the stange "living" cheese is not compulsory to be the one of us (at least, you are allowed to remove the outside!).
ACCOMODATION
Here are the accomodation and facilities in Allegre. There is no need to register for the camp site.

You can also contact us if you need help or details.
INFORMATION
This year, the eldest France-HPV member, Lucien Manicacci, 81 year old, will be partiicpating in the small tours.
Most of the time, we are some 40 to 60 people with recumbents, tandems, foldables, mountain bikes... In 2006, with the venue of the World championships, we were up to 120 people touring at the same time.
We are looking forward to riding with you.
Best Regards,
Jean-Charles Gosselin
