I may have put this in the wrong category, but I can't 
figure out where to get the ebcdic code page (IBM1047, 
IBM-1047, or cp1047) and how to make it available to 
jedit on my workstation.  Can you advise?

Hi, I may be wrong but the encodings are encodings made
available by the JVM.
On my computer (Windows XP SP1 and Sun JDK 1.5 update 4) I
have your charset. But if I use a 1.4 JVM from Sun too I do
not have it anymore
