I am in the writing phase of thesis and apart from the thesis technical text, I am juggling to get a few commands work in latex, for instance, I would like the page headers and footers in the following manner..

 

the odd numbered page should have "Name of the Chapter" in the right hand side.

even numbered page should have "Chapter Number" in the left hand side.
and footers should be center aligned having only page numbers.

 

 

however, the page layout after using fancyheader package are bit different....instead of giving odd+right and even+left it is giving odd+left and even+right. Also, it is giving a horizontal line at the top of page that divides the main text and header. i wish to remove that line as well.

 

If anybody has a solution to this page layout problem, then I would definitely like to hear and try it.
