Well, its always a problem of plenty or scarcity aint
it??  One point that should guide you is that the loan
amount is usually shown for the second year of
education. As you said, you might have part-time jobs
to cover your living expenses and internship to atmost
cover one semesters tuition fees. Another possibility
is to find an oncampus job that will allow you to
request an out-state tuition waiver.

Another point is that most banks allow only upto 15
lakhs for overseas education, that too with a cosigner
guarantee. You can always change the university for
which you need the loan. it is not a bottleneck. 15
lakhs sounds ideal. though my bet is you would finish
it with much lesser.
