After completing my undergraduate studies from INDIA, I plan to do a higher degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science from a good US/UK university. Now as most of the US universities ask for a 4 year Bachelor's degree for admissions to their Graduate courses, I'm primarily focusing on the UK universities only. But the UK Master's degree is of 12 months duration (full time) and I'm unsure whether the degree is globally accepted or not. Please help me clarify this small doubt of mine. Also, please tell me about the post-master's career prospects for International students in the UK.

<at> srihari : Thanks a lot for clarifying my doubt. There are several reasons why I'm focusing on the UK. 1) My undergraduate degree - I'm pursuing a 3yr Bachelor of Science degree. So that makes me ineligible for postgraduate study in the US, right after the completion of my undergrad studies in India. 2) In UK the Master's degree is of '12 months' duration. So after completing my Master's there, I will have exactly 4years of education after 10+2 (10+2+4) and will become eligible for admissions and/or employment in the US. 3) Many pass-out's of my college are currently pursuing their Master's degree in UK, and many have secured admission this year also. 4) I have relatives in UK. These are basically the four main reasons why I'm concentrating on UK.

<at> suvadeep : Thanks a ton for your support. You are truly a very inspiring senior.
