But in some cases, putting aside whatever dialogue cuts may have been made, many filmings are reasonably true to the original, even with anachronistic staging--which, of course, never occurs in the theater itselfOTOH, trying to determine which films can justifiably be kept with the "originals" would keep your in-house film/theater/literature selectors/critics busy...
