Re: Not a joke -- we really SHOULD index binding color/spine color
-collection management -public services staff who need to know the size of an item (folio etc) so they can determine if they need to bring a book truck with them to retrieve items etc -strategic planning, relocation of collections, damage due to disasters, floods etc and insurance for library collections in case of fire, natural disasters etc these are just a few starting points on "does it matter"/ cheers, Karen awaiting the snow storm # 2...
