"RefTeX version 4.16"

This is the version currently distributed bundled with Emacs21 in
Debian Lenny. Can I install the latest version, which I see is 4.32,
over top of my current install without messing up the way apt-get
manages my emacs installation? In anticipation of Emacs22 entering the
Lenny repositories in the next while, I'm a little reluctant to mess
things up...

Thanks for your help,

Tyler
