Aquamacs: tramp and frame appearance

hi, I spend a lot of time in Aquamacs using tramp mode to edit remote files on a Linux server. Mostly this works very well (thanks David!), except for one glitch: If I leave a file open on the desktop and return to it later, the session has timed out, so tramp prompts me for my password. After typing it in, I'm *always* told "file has changed on disk" (which it hasn't), so I hit 'revert', whereupon Aquamacs also reverts to its default frame appearance, rather than my prefs for the file's mode. Is there any way round this, and (supplementary question) why does Aquamacs/tramp always report that the file has changed? Thanks, TimH ---------------------------- Info ----------------------------- List Post: <mailto:macosx-emacs <at> email.esm.psu.edu> List Archives: <http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.emacs.macintosh.osx>
