Re: Re: My First Post

Thanks for your response. I will take your advise. I will just play basic strategy. I am very comfortable
with that. I have a lot of practicing to do before I begin counting. I don't want to be 86'd my first time out.

I purchased the Blackjack Institutes's course. I will keep everyone posted.

Good luck to you too!

Play the lowest limit tables available and unless you can count down
a deck of cards in less than 30 seconds w/o errors you should
probably just stick to BS. Ask the pitboss what it takes to get a
meal comp and just play till you get that. You'll probably come out
ahead which is good for the first time and a birthday.

You should read some more books and talk to more people. There's no
reason to know the indicies below -1 cuz you shouldn't be playing
anyway. Besides, there are 18 indicies that make up 95% of your
gain from using indicies. Anything else adds a mere 1 cent to your
expected return.

Cool. However, make sure you have BS down to a subconcious
science. You can win with just BS and comps. If you roll into a
casino and start counting right away (and you're good or just
obvious) you won't get to play there much longer. Get used to the
casinos and personnel and how they work so you know how to disguise
your play.
