Re: Best medium for Gaming Discussions - Groups or Geek ?
As the others have said, both are invaluable. But if I had a question that wasn't factual (e.g., rules interpretation), but required opinions, I wouldn't think of posting it on the Geek. This goes double if the query might at all be controversial. There are too many loose cannons on BGG and, frankly, just too many people period. For every helpful answer you get, there will be ten silly, cranky, or "I'm posting to hear myself think" replies. User groups, on the other hand, are usually very helpful with questions like this. So I'm very thankful that we have forums like Spielfrieks where intelligent and interesting discussions can be held without there being TOO much of a chance of a flame war breaking out.
