FYI: We have updated our draft on "Transport of Media Independent Handover Messages Over IP" (draft-rahman-mipshop-mih-transport-03.txt). We have attempted to address all relevant comments raised in the last IETF meeting with relation to MIH support. Note that we are also part of the DT but decided it was worthwhile to keep updating our individual contribution in parallel pending output of the official DT document (as the DT process has been a bit slow). Sincerely, Akbar -----Original Message----- From: Internet-Drafts <at> ietf.org [mailto:Internet-Drafts <at> ietf.org] Sent: Sunday, July 08, 2007 4:15 PM To: i-d-announce <at> ietf.org Subject: I-D ACTION:draft-rahman-mipshop-mih-transport-03.txt A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories. Title : Transport of Media Independent Handover Messages Over IP Author(s) : A. Rahman, et al. Filename : draft-rahman-mipshop-mih-transport-03.txt Pages : 26 Date : 2007-7-8 This document describes a mechanism for using UDP/IP for the transport of Media Independent Handover (MIH) messages between network nodes. MIH messages carry technology specific link layer information and commands that can be used to optimize handover procedures across different access technologies such as cellular and WLAN. MIH will complement Layer 3 mobility protocols such as Mobile IP. A URL for this Internet-Draft is: http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-rahman-mipshop-mih-transport-0 3.txt To remove yourself from the I-D Announcement list, send a message to i-d-announce-request <at> ietf.org with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message. You can also visit https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/I-D-announce to change your subscription settings. Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username "anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in, type "cd internet-drafts" and then "get draft-rahman-mipshop-mih-transport-03.txt". A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail. Send a message to: mailserv <at> ietf.org. In the body type: "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-rahman-mipshop-mih-transport-03.txt". NOTE: The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE" command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with "multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on how to manipulate these messages. Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the Internet-Draft.
