[LAA] [ANN] SLV2 0.6.2

SLV2 is a library to make the use of LV2 plugins as simple as possible
for applications.

This is a bugfix release. 0.6.1 failed to recognize any LV2 features.

Upgrading is strongly recommended. Let us all just pretend that 0.6.1
never existed. 0.6.1 is not to be invited to any parties. It will sit
alone for the holidays, cursing haste and drinking alone.

Changes this release:

- Fix feature detection

- Add --no-jack configure flag for building without jack dependency
  (i.e. don't build jack clients; slv2 itself never depends on jack)

Happy Hacking,

Hello world,

A first edition of the LAC2009 website is now

[LAA] NASPRO 0.1.1 is out

Hello everybody,

I'm glad to announce the new 0.1.1 relase of NASPRO.

NASPRO, recursive acronym for "NASPRO Architecture for Sound
PROcessing", is a free/open source, modular and cross-platform sound
processing framework with a strong emphasys on interoperability.

Its main aim is to provide users and developers a full-featured tool
to do sound manipulation using heterogeneous technologies which are
already available (such as LADSPA or LV2 plugins) and at the same time
make it easy to develop new ones without breaking interoperability.

Please, keep in mind that it is work in progress and that we're in
early stages of development.

Homepage: http://naspro.atheme.org

New stuff in this release:

    * new build system (which sucks, but it's better than before);
    * NDF 0.1 file format support;
    * CPU endianess neutrality;
    * fixes.

[LAA] LAC 2009

La Casa della Musica invites all Linux Audio developers,
users, composers, musicians, philosophers and anyone
interested to

         The Linux Audio Conference 2009

                16-19 April 2009

              La Casa della Musica
                 Palazzo Cusani

                  Parma, Italy

The LAC will go outside Germany for the first time, but
we will keep close to the familiar four-day format with
paper presentations, workshops, electro-acoustic music
concerts, and the Linux Sound Night.

The website is being created, and 'calls for everything'
will be issued before the end of this week.

The conference starts a few weeks later than the previous
one, which allows the deadlines for everything to be moved
as well. For the papers and music calls this will be
somewhere mid January, so you can use the end-of-year
holiday period to get creative.

We hope to see you all in Parma !

[LAA] Rivendell v1.1.0

On behalf of the entire Rivendell development team, I'm pleased to announce
the release of Rivendell v1.1.0. Rivendell is a full-featured radio
automation system targeted for use in professional broadcast environments. It
is available under the GNU General Public License. Changes in this release
include (from the NEWS file):

*** snip snip ***
Changes:
   Custom Encoders. It's now possible to configure Rivendell on a
   host-by-host basis to use any command-line audio encoder (e.g. FAAC,
   FFmpeg) to drive exports, uploads and podcasts. Information on setting it
   up can be found in 'ENCODERS.txt'.

   GPIO Enhancements. The syntax of the 'GPI Set' [GI], 'GPO Set' [GO]
   and 'GPI Enable' [GE] RMLs has been extended and the underlying system
   modified to allow operation of all three commands with both GPI and GPO
   devices. The old syntax is now deprecated, but still supported for
   backwards compatability. Information on the new syntax can be found in
   'rml.sxw'.

   New Record RMLs. Two new RMLs, 'Start Record Deck' [RS] and 'Stop Record
   Deck' [RR] have been added, allowing any RDCatch record deck to be
   controlled via RML. Information on the new RMLs can be found in 'rml.sxw'.

   RDLogEdit Runtime Counters. Time counters have been added in the Edit Log
   screen in RDLogEdit that show the predicted running time of log events from
   the currently selected event to the next STOP and the end of the log, while
   highlighting multiple events will display the runtime of the selected
   events.
