Subject: how can i trigger scanning?

i'm testing ath9k driver for 802.11n station.

i'm using avila(ixp425) board and ar9160 mini pci card.

kernel version : 2.6.29.1

iw version : 0.9.11

i configured station with iw command.

1.

i found that station scans channels only one time.

so only when ap works before station starts, connection is done
successfully.

if i turn on ap after station starts or when ap rebooted, station doesn't
connect to ap.

i want to know how to trigger station to scan again.

i tried 'iw dev wlan0 scan trigger ' command, but it fails

command failed : Operation not supported (-95)

is there other command i can retrigger station scanning?

or should i use other program (like hostapd for ap) to make station works?

2.

how can i set station mode between a/b/g/n?

i used command 'iwpriv ath0 mode 11g' for madwifi.

but it doesn't work any more. is there other command?

i disabled 11n by editting source code.

'ht_info->ht_supported = 0;'

but how can i change mode between a/g?
