I have been working with Dave Freese in helping him as a beta tester on flrig and fldigi. Unfortunately, we have found that the hamlib routines for the Ten Tec OMNI VII, model 588, are way off of base. More unfortunate than that is the fact that the programmers reference manual that Ten Tec provides is also way off of base. Some of the commands are actually backwards. One good example of this are the S-meter commands. If you follow their instructions, you end up with a full S-meter reading with no signal present and a near zero reading with a strong signal present. I don't have a complete list of the errors, but you might be able to contact Dave Freese, w1hkj, via email: w1hkj <at> w1hkj.com. ... 73 de 'Jug', WA6MBZ, DM04DK, wa6mbz <at> yahoo.com. ----- End forwarded message ----- -- -- "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds.
