I'm stuck here with 2.6.7 with several patches on different setups, and I know how long it can take to get a system both running smoothly and full hardware support: My desktop system is an epia-m which needs a patch for integrated graphics, last patch available for kernel 2.6.7 One of my USB hubs is supported since 2.6.6 External USB/IDE devices with genesys logic chipset are supported since 2.6.9, but have run smoothly on my system since 2.6.pre thanks to some weird no-name USB hub.
