[uml-user] building a 2.4.24 UML kernel?

when I attempt to build a stock 2.4.24 tree patched with
uml-patch-2.4.23-2 I get:

gcc -D__KERNEL__
-I/home/snitm/cvs/esthero/distro/linux/2.4.24-1/linux-2.4.24/include -Wall
-Wstrict-pr
ototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common  -U__i386__

ch_um__ -DSUBARCH=\"i386\" -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE

-I/home/snitm/cvs/esthero/distro/linux/2.4.24-1/linux-2.4.24/arch/um/kernel
/skas/include -c mk_thread_kern.c

I didn't see anything in the archives and googling didn't shed any light;
anyone know how to get around this?

Thanks,
Mike
