I don't think there's any clear "usually" here. One of the books you listed, PCL, is still in publication, so permission would probably need to be cleared with both the author and the publisher. Basically it boils down to, just ask the copyright holders, because no one else's opinion really matters in the end if they disagree. - josh g. On 9/9/06, Alok G.
