Indeed I do not consider the solution for mac user to be a combination of pieces, but the correct way to do....
as far as it makes the use of native clients for that platform working fine.

On this I can agree with you that MAPI actually is legacy.

The point could be more "why someone should use OL if you have another option?"

Now if your mail server is Exchange actually there is no reason, but if your UCS is CGP you have many.

Personally I used OL for 10 years and when switched to mac and Mail app I realized how much time I gave away in
that period..... then if I can have 95% of OL feature using another client that is much faster and
robust.... why not .... only because I can not use ews or because on the back end there is CGP and not Exchange.....

Then stop strategy .... back to work.... :)
